Faithfulness

We have been sick this week, it began with me on Tuesday and then another child began on Thursday and yesterday two more of the troops came down with it with two others showing signs. By 8 o'clock last night I was weary, feeling stretched, worn out, just plain tired, making many separate meals for each person, wondering if fevers would break, if a little one could go five mins without coughing so they could get deep sleep, etc. etc. - our kitchen sinks had backed up and a sink in a bathroom, that just added to the sense of weariness. Then the Lord brought to me a thought of the women who had worked so wearily through diseases that would surely lead to death a 100 years ago, communities wiped out, women in different countries that still face that today, women that helped in our wars, with death, not only sickness surrounding them in conditions that don't even compare to mine!

He stilled any self-pity and I could feel His strength and I went to bed feeling confident and had time to pray over each person in the house. He is faithful.

This morning I checked my emails and a sweet sister on the East coast had been doing a study on God's faithfulness and her email was full of verses she had typed out that the Lord led her to - it was just what I needed - and obviously what she needed. The Lord is so good and weaves us together to strengthen one another. When we are obedient and do this we have no idea whom all it is meant for and to bless, but our Heavenly Father DOES - again, a tribute to His unending Faithfulness ♥

1 Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

1 Thessalonians 5:24 “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”

2 Thessalonians 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”

2 Timothy 2:13 “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.”

Hebrews 2:17 “Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.”

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)”

Hebrews 11:11 “Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.”

1 Peter 4:19 “Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.”

Revelation 1:5 “And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,”

Revelation 3:14 “And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;”

Revelation 19:11 “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”

morning has brought a break in two fevers, two still have them, add two more to the list of coming down with it - but everyone SLEPT, one is MUCH better and the sinks drained - thank you Lord, you are in control of every moment.
