Piano Festival

We are all getting ready to go to a neighboring college for three of the children to participate in a piano festival. They will play their competition songs for January in front of judges today to get critiqued and to get suggestions on how they can improve playing and dynamics in hope that they might place in competition.

My husband loved to praise the kids for all their accomplishments, big and small, because they are all big in our eyes as parents. He never missed something like this and I know we are all excited to go today; yet at the same time dreading his absence in such a time that he was PRESENT. Please pray that God continues to bind our hearts with His grace and mercy, that we may remember the wonderful memories of having Daddy with us, yet abound in joy in making new memories together still.
