The Lord gave us another beautiful day. Seemed the day flew by, school, piano lessons, errands, then a much anticipated supper out with G&G ♥

We were treated to a delicious Mexican restaurant THEN the favorite, local ice cream spot in town. And that isn't even the highlight......the highlight was then going back to the house, visiting with G&G (hubby's parents) and having devotions then a hymn sing, which has become tradition. Of course hubby always did the devotions and I know we all think of that but it is becoming something we are accepting, it's not easy, we still ache, but we all understand this is God's plan and we certainly will not give up our devotion time with one another or our fellowship in lifting up our voices to Him while Grandma plays the piano!

G&G had read out of Romans 8 last night, verses 28-39 on being Conquerors. Oldest son read that passage tonight and it tied into my devotion that I had had with the children this morning out of Galatians chapter 5. I stand amazed at how God weaves His Word into our lives.....confirming to us how IN CONTROL He truly is. We then sang some favorite hymns, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross, Abide with Me, It is Well with My Soul and Have Thine Own Way Lord........the words of the last hymn are still resounding in my heart and mind. His will be done, not mine. Never mine.

These moments with family are healing and sustaining. I am thankful for these moments and for God moving G&G within such a short distance from us. I do still think sometimes what a shame that hubby never got to be blessed by having them so close, he was looking so forward to it. They had planned their move back to our state for a couple of years and hubby was so instrumental in the planning and building of their new abode. God took him home just four days before they were to move, the day the movers were supposed to be unloading their things from a Northern state, they had to bury their precious, #2 son. I remember talking to hubby late into the night on Tuesday, the 8th of September. He was sure that he was to be more involved with his parents in helping them with their health......looking forward to treasuring his times, building memories because he was worried that his father might not be around many more years as he had already outlived by many years what the doctors had said. So strange to look back on that conversation and to see how our lives have unfolded since that day.

I am thankful for this Tuesday, I feel peace. Like grief, the peace waves come, but they are few and far between. Thank you Lord for washing me with the warmth of your Grace......I pray we all felt it and that the grief waves will ebb and leave and the peace will increase, day to day.

thank you G&G for a wonderful evening
God be with you both ♥

How sweet the words written that depict the richness of your evening with family. All of you are rebuilding and renewing and basking in the joy of being together....in His name and of His plan. Much love.
"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is
