Verse of the Day

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!5 Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Frozen Dreams

What once was green, where waters did flow
Now lies frozen beneath the snow.
It seems as though life has ended in death
But God has so promised the spring to refresh.
*
At times, in life we seem under burden
The appearance of nothing but death and perversion.
Forgetting to look with eye’s unseen.
We begin to wander, as though in a dream.
*
It’s at these pivotal times in life
God calls us to look, beyond to the sky.
Redemption did not just ascend on high
To idly sit, while creation does die.
*
He calls us to wait, both patient and humble
For Christ to return with Life to enable.
Just as He promised the rain and the harvest.
So to our souls He has promised the surest.
*
He asks us first to pass this test.
By faith to believe and give of our best.
Knowing, of all, He desires to bless.
*
The end will reveal the Light of His Love
And then we can dwell in newness above.

****
my sweet prince began writing poetry the last few years and I am finding them very comforting now.....especially the ones written in his hand.
