Keeping busy is vital to me during this process of grieving....and this time of year there is so much to do. Today we are going to be making salsa and canning it, picking more apples, picking the remaining tomatoes in hopes of doing some sauce. A family member dropped off about 6 boxes of pears that need our attention also....such rich blessings and the whole family gets to be involved even if it is to only taste test....that is very important!

Autumn was my husband's favorite season.....he loved the smell of the wet leaves, watching the trees turn colors, the crisp fall air and loved it when we would can things as his grandmother did so many years ago. We are thinking of him as each can "pings" as he said that was music to the ears and $$ off the grocery bill! He could always make me smile. I have posted one of my fav pics of him on one of our kitchen cupboards, right over his coffee pot and I look at it often....

Was also time to make laundry soap, so that is cooling and now I can get back to my salsa, ready to chop garlic and onions with my middle daughter - God be with each of you today!
