The Offering of Peace

The rivers flow wild and timeless and free.
As the God of creation designed it to be.
In just the same way God created the man;
But man did refuse what was placed in his hand.

So God sent his son that all may see,

this was the poem of his that I chose to put on the back of his remembrance bulletin at his funeral.....I thought it appropriate to reach out to people. Also, a favorite song to sing of his was "How Deep the Father's Love for Us" which covers this whole poem and he references it in the last four lines of it. Anyone who churched with us knows it was a favorite request out of a folder of songs that was put together by another family......#22 was often his request and we'd all laugh as we could guess as to what he was going to say then a young man would play his guitar along to it.....we have been singing it often lately.
